About Roblox Marketplace Tax

30% Marketplace Fee

Roblox charges a 30% fee on most transactions. When a buyer pays 1,000 Robux, the seller receives 700 Robux (70%). This fee supports platform maintenance and development.

What Has Tax

The 30% tax applies to: trading limited items, game passes, developer products, clothing sales, and private servers. Use this calculator to know your actual earnings.

What Doesn't Have Tax

No tax on: group payouts, group fund transfers, Developer Exchange (DevEx), and Premium Payouts. These are direct transfers without marketplace involvement.
